What a fantastic day we had on Australia Day at the Mark Hotel. So many people with all kinds of costumes and glitter out for a good time. I had lots of conversations with people who were fondly remembering times at the Bel-Air, JR , Belmont 16 ‘ Sailing Club and Ambassador Nightclub etc  when they first started following DV8. So many stories of people who were able to get into pubs at age 15 and see us which wouldn’t be possible these days. We also had quite a few of the younger crew who’ve only recently discovered us . We went back into the back catalogue and pulled out songs like So High, Future Shock and Lighten Up Your Load which we haven’t played for a long time.

Anyway it was a joy to feel the love in the room and to pump out the original Aussie/Newy Rock for you guys…our next DV8 shows are Saturday February 13th 8-11pm at the Gunyah Hotel for all the Belmont/Swansea crowd and then back in town in Broadmeadow at the Premier Hotel on Sunday Feb. 21st from 4-7.30pm.
